It’s crazy to think that it has been three years ago since I went down to Belle Isle with these two and took their engagement pictures! (Check them out here) I’ll never forget sitting in Nacho Mamas with Amanda and talking about how when Jamie proposes she wants me to take her engagement pictures.  I’m pretty sure my reaction was “Uh what!? Me!?”  She was the first person to see this as more than just a hobby and she is the one who helped snowball my love for photography into something real and I’ll always be grateful for her trust in me. 

Now three years later we headed back down to the river to take her Maternity pictures! Amanda and Jamie are expecting a little boy, James Colevan Kinsler Jr. – nickname Cole (great right!?), in just 8 weeks and she’s looking gorgeous!  She signed up for a Milestone’s package so this is just the beginning of these two on the blog.  You’re going to get to see the beautiful baby boy they are bound to have in 8 weeks!

Let me tell you, these two are ready for that baby!  I got to their house and the baby’s room is fully decked out with the cutest little fishing gear, there are clothes in the drawers, diapers in the closet and books ready to be read.  🙂  I have a slight obsession with baby gear because it is the cutest!  I love how little everything is and how much time people put into the details when they make these itty bitty clothes.  I once had to get a baby present for a friend and spent TWO HOURS in Baby’s R Us because I genuinely couldn’t decide what I wanted to give since I loved it all.  I settled on a handful of books and some brain stimulating cubes. 🙂

Now back to the Kinslers.  These two are good sports, not even, they are great sports!  We trucked around to all different places, Monument Avenue, Brown’s Isle, up hills, through parks, if I wanted to try it, they were up for it!  They stayed with me while I bantered around, posed like pros while on lookers waited to pass and best of all were willing to try new things.  It worked out too because the light was gorgeous and these images are full of color and bokeh which is my favorite.  I put on the 85mm lens, which is my new favorite, and I swear once I put that lens on I can’t take it off.  It makes everything feel like butter and just transforms the background. 🙂  I couldn’t be happier with the way these turned out!

Amanda and Jamie, I’m so excited for you guys!  You are going to be great parents and I can’t wait to snuggle little Cole!
