So Saturday afternoon me and my friend went to Southern Season to walk around and look for a birthday present for her mom. First let me just say that WOWZERS, Southern Season is awesome! I’m so bummed to hear that my first trip may be my last in Richmond because it is closing on the 25th (WAH!?)
Well in any case we left the store after seriously swooning over everything and I mean everything (the glasses, the cheese, the bakery, the cooking classes kitchen and oh did I mention the CHEESE!) and as we left I saw it, the most perfect portrait location. Flashback, remember that time I told you about driving down the street and seeing a field of soy beans? Remember, I made Sterling turn the car around, park and go into the field with me to take pictures? Well this was just like that! I see it, this gorgeous trail, park, wooded area and it was perfect! All of these gorgeous tall trees with high branches, short grass which wasn’t overgrown, just perfect for pictures, and oh did it glisten. The light came through the trees in this just majestic fashion and hit the green grass so perfectly that it seriously glistened. It just called to me. But… the downside was I was in workout clothes, I smelled and in no way looked put together enough for pictures. Plus it was cold on Saturday.
So then on Sunday when my friend Kate (you know Kate, of Kate Driskell Photography) and I decided to take pictures, I knew the perfect place. 🙂 I love these images so much! So much in fact that I kind of insisted Katie grab my camera and take some images of me so I’d have some too… 🙂
Also just a heads up a HUGE SHOUT OUT to the Katelyn James Consistency Course which has been teaching me a lot about editing consistently. Holy Moses, these images wouldn’t be as beautiful if I hadn’t taken this course. Just you wait for the blog post of the before and afters of these images. 🙂
I couldn’t resist, sharing this last one Katie. 🙂 It’s too funny 🙂
So pretty 🙂 great location find!!
