Charlottesville Fall Family Session

Popp Family Session

Boar’s Head Inn

–Charlottesville, Virginia —

The last time I saw Christi was soon after they got their puppy, Wallie who is a Goldendoodle so naturally, I’m in love!  We took pictures together with Christi’s whole family and this time around we got images with CJ (her husband)’s side of the family!  We planned it Charlottesville because I was going to be in town for another family session and to spend time with Sterling’s family.  The nice thing about getting back in Virginia for sessions is there are so many different spots to get images.  Charlottesville especially is simply gorgeous!

We ended up meeting at Boar’s Head Inn which I had been to before for a senior session and really loved the versatility.  There is a beautiful lake, open fields, and hillside, trees that get nice color in the fall and private paths.  Even as a popular spot you never feel overwhelmed with people which is just what you’d want for a session.   When we got there it was surprisingly very cold, especially for October/November, it seriously felt like January.  But Christi came prepared with some blankets we could use to wrap up in while in between spots.

The best part of this session was getting to meet Christi and CJ’s baby boy!  At the time of the session, he was nearly 6 months and did an amazing job throughout!  Even with it being cold he was a great sport, didn’t cry, stuck with us the whole time and handled getting passed from person to person like a pro!  I love that we were able to get images with him and his paternal grandparents too!

I love that I got to work with Christi and CJ again!  We went to JMU together and I remember seeing them at parties when they were just dating!  They are some of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet and make amazing parents!!  Baby Popp is one lucky baby to have parents as kind natured and open-hearted as them!

Enjoy some of my favorite images from this session in Charlottesville, Virginia!
