All I have to say about this session is that Sterling better WATCH OUT!  I’ve got myself a new boyfriend and while he may be merely 3, he is quite the gentleman!

This session was the third milestone session with the Harrigan family and it was especially exciting because I got to meet their newest little hunk – Ridley.  🙂 Our previous two milestones were when Roland (Ro) was much younger and while he was precious then he is quite the charmer now.  I can only imagine what this duo will be like when Ridley can talk too!

We met up in Charlottesville at “The Corner” which is right off of UVA’s campus and immediately I felt like I was with old friends!  The Harrigans are the nicest people, very friendly, warm and kind but better yet, really easy going for pictures (ideal client status!).  We gave each other big hugs and jumped right into a conversation about our lives, them having TWO precious boys now and Sterling and my recent move to Baltimore.  We quickly moved into everyday friend type convos including their insanely cool stroller!  Amy has a what I can only describe as a stroller skateboard addition for Ro to ride along while she pushes Ridley about.  It is (I think) like a glider attachment to the stroller so Ro can stand between her and the stroller and be pushed along to but can easily hop on and off when she makes stops!  It is very cool and very convenient!  Also, super safe because he can hold on the whole time (in case you’re wondering btw).

As we got into our session Ro packed on the charm!  As we went through the session he helped me pick out locations, got a chance to practice his own skills with the camera, asked to hold my hand as we walked about and then asked me to dinner! (I’m still melting!)  At the end of our session as we were walking back towards our cars he very politely came up to me and said “Um excuse me, Alex, would you like to eat dinner with us?” and then continued to politely check back in if I would come!  Even typing it out right now I know that I’m not conveying how cute this moment was because you can’t see his hopeful and sweet little eyes looking up and hear his precious little voice.  I almost just said “screw it” and canceled my plans to join them because it was just so darlin’!

An equal match to Ro’s polite and precious voice is his brother Ridley’s contagious smile!!! This kid has the biggest smile and laugh I’ve EVER seen from a kiddo so young!  It’s amazing!! He opens his mouth as wide as possible and just chuckles!  Like I said – these two are going to be quite the duo when they grow up!  Ladies – WATCH OUT!

In all seriousness though, Amy and Joel I LOVE your little family and am so grateful to get to spend time with yall!  Thank you for always being SO sweet and making me feel like an old friend, I love you guys!

 I had to include this image because it’s my Oompa Loompa image for Ro!  During every session, I keep an expodisc around my neck.  I use this to set my white balance so that the colors are closer to accurate.  Kiddos are always really curious about the expodisc and they always want to know what it does.  So I told Ro that the expodisc helps me set the colors so they don’t turn blue and look like Oompa Loompas!  He said he wanted to have a blue picture and so I changed the settings and took this for him.  I delivered it with their gallery and I kind of love it because it makes me think of how sweet and curious he was in this moment.
