Yall have been asking for it – waiting for it – excited for it, and now it’s HERE! The May Minis SNEAK PEAK!! Each of these sessions will get their own blog post in the upcoming weeks but for now, I wanted to show off just a taste of how GORGEOUS and fun our sessions were this past weekend.
I scheduled the location for Libby Hill Park for our May Minis and I couldn’t be more excited that I did! Libby Hill Park is BEAUTIFUL and has amazing overlooking views of the city and river. Additionally – it’s also small so it’s not typically crazy packed because it doesn’t draw the same crowds that Belle Isle does. What makes it perfect for pictures is its variety in locations. There are plenty of trees and areas to run and play, cobblestone walkways with green overgrowth popping through, arching trees, grassy fields, fountains, and the quaint neighborhood of Church Hill. Because of this variety, there can multiple sets of photographers and nobody feels in each other’s way. This could have been just me though because I got there early enough to stake out a good spot – and boy am I glad I did. 🙂
These images are also my FIRST portraits taken with my BRAND NEW Nikon D850. I am giddy. Seriously giddy! The camera has bright beautiful colors, sharp details, and is FAST! For many of these sessions, the kiddos were loving life and running about. This camera was amazing for being able to confidently and calmly catch small moments in the in-between. If you’re like me looking at these images, you’ll love the green hues popping out of the cobblestones, bright white light, clean pops of color and portraits of families in all seasons of life! Some expectant mothers, many brand new moms and those who are running alongside their fun-loving toddlers. They all encompass motherhood, family and a season of life that is fleeting and oh so special. Keep an eye out for each of these features to see even more in the next few weeks, but for now, here’s my May Minis Sneak Peak.
