Senior Best Friends Session – Libby Hill Park
Richmond – Virginia
Y’ALL! This past weekend a dream came true in my life! I got to meet (drumroll) THE BABYSITTERS CLUB! All my 90s girls will know EXACTLY why this is so exciting!! Though when I mentioned this to the girls I’m not sure they had heard of it… so, girls – go to the link and watch the movie trailer and you’ll understand. 🙂 So while these girls aren’t actually the babysitters club – they emulate everything fun about that childhood classic! Plus there are 7 of them!
In all seriousness though, this past weekend I headed down to Richmond and did a session that I have been dreaming up for a while but have never done! A Senior Portrait Session for best friends! I love the idea of getting these images of best friends as they spend their last time together in high school and giving them great quality images of each other that they can frame in their college dorms and cherish forever. So I was ECSTATIC to meet up with these 7 girls at Libby Hill Park right in time for golden hour to take pictures of them. It was EVEN BETTER that I actually taught four of these girls when they were in 7th grade and now got to see them all grown up! It may have been a little weird for them to have their old teacher insist that they “just call me Alex” but they didn’t show it. 🙂
These 7 girls are sweet, bright and best of all genuine. They cherish each other and love every moment they have just hanging out. I could tell instantly that they all have an equal part in the group (yeah just like Babysitters Club!) and that they have so much fun together just being themselves. They are encouragers and were constantly cheering each other on and one another how stellar they looked in front of the camera. We hopped from one location to another and even climbed MONSTER stairs and yet nobody complained as we chased the light from the Richmond skyline.
We got gorgeous golden hour images, jumping images, and the classic “walk and laugh!” and I honestly LOVE THEM ALL! I know these girls will cherish these images and I am THRILLED to show them off and deliver these bright, fun and colorful images! These images took me back to my high school and even sorority days goofing around with my best friends and it gave me so much joy to see them in this season of life.
GIRLS – I had a BLAST with yall and to my Byrd girls – I loved seeing y’all and catching up. I know you girls will have an amazing time in college and have BIG things in front of you! Soak up the summer and take lots and lots of pictures – you’ll never regret having them to look back on – I promise! 🙂
