After last year’s crazy summer of moving, I was so ready for this summer and the time to just relax. It’s been amazing! Best of all is that our summer has been really casual. Nothing crazy but just settling into those warm summer nights and taking on some home projects.
My favorite part about summer is being outside. I love going on long walks and spending time in the sun. I’ve gone to my parent’s house to be by the pool almost every weekend/chance that I can get and each night Sterling and I take the dogs outside and walk for 30 minutes or so. The girls love these walks! You’d think they would be tired but they are all smiles the whole time. Sometimes we’ll even walk them down the street to the ice cream store “The Charmery” to get some summer night scoops with the girls (our dogs).
A few weeks ago I grabbed my camera and told Sterling I wanted to snag some pictures of us on our walk for my memories. I’ve gotten in the habit of using the excuse of my memories as a way to beg for pictures from my friends and family. They tend to groan but ultimately love the images. Now that I’m trying to organize our family pictures so that I can make a family yearbook, I want to make sure that I have images of even the everyday stuff like walking the dogs. So we were off down the street to snag some pictures and enjoy the evening. Sterling didn’t mind being the model and the subject of the pictures until I made him stand in the middle of the street (stopping traffic…) to get the images below of me and Winnie. 🙂 It was worth it though!
