Classic Summer Church Hill Senior Session

Malone | August 2018

When I taught Malone in 7th grade I have to admit she was one of my faves.  As a teacher you’re not supposed to have “favorites” but while you love all your kiddos for individual reasons, there are some that stick out through the years.  There are always ones that you hope come back to visit and catch you up on all their new adventures.  Any teacher will tell you that getting to catch up with old students is one of the best parts.  It makes up for all the late nights, weekends spent grading, and endless emails.  You grow to love your kids and seeing them as young adults who have grown so much but still have a lot of that 7th grader in them is such a joy!  Read More »

Milestone 2: Cole – 9 Months!

The last time you saw Cole here he was a newborn!  You remember, the cutie with the bow tie?  I mean common, how could you forget this face!  If you didn’t get to see it go check it out by clicking here!

Well now he is 9 months and a really stinker!  He is forming his own little personality, he loves to swing and once he warms up, he is a real talker!  Amanda and Jamie really have a great baby, he is so easy going and up for anything.  We spent our time together walking around Deep Run Park and I have to say, even after a huge storm, it was just as beautiful as ever.  Read More »

Photography Play Date at Pony Pastures with Katie

This past weekend was back to back packed with photography fun.  I started off the weekend on Thursday evening by meeting up with my friend Katie to explore Pony Pastures and take new head shots.  I’ve been wanting to update my “About Me” page and to update my website so I asked Katie if she’d be down to go explore and exchange the favor.  Katie just started her own photography business back in the spring Kate Driskell Photography (check out her blog here!) and it’s been nice to have a friend just starting out to get together to practice or just talk about techniques etc.  Read More »
